Install

One drag and you are done

No installer, no wizard walking you through seven windows. You open the disk image you just downloaded and drag rylivo into your Applications folder.

  1. Download

    Rylivo.dmg lands in your Downloads folder. About 25 MB — under a minute even on a thin connection.

  2. Open

    Double-click the downloaded file. The window above appears on your desktop.

  3. Drag

    Drag rylivo onto Programme — that is the German name for your Applications folder. It has to go there: only from Applications can rylivo later set up the audio drivers.

  4. Launch

    Eject the image, then open rylivo from Applications. The window opens, rylivo appears in the Dock, and the icon sits in the menu bar as well.

Already running an older version? Quit it first — rylivo → Quit rylivo in the window, otherwise from the menu bar icon — and then drag the new one over it. A running rylivo cannot be replaced. The version you currently have is at the bottom left of the window, and the app tells you itself once a newer one is out.

First launch

Open the app

Drag rylivo into Applications and double-click to open it. On first launch, macOS may show the standard confirmation for an app downloaded from the internet.

Check what you downloaded

Use the SHA-256 checksum to check whether the downloaded file matches the published build:

What the app does all day

The window carries the whole customer portal: overview, calls, calendar, assistant, call forwarding, invoices and subscription. What you need in passing is behind the icon at the top right as well.

Status at a glance

Whether the assistant is live, on which number, and when the numbers were last refreshed. Green means active, orange means paused.

The week in numbers

Calls, callback requests, appointment requests and talk minutes for the current week — plus the running total since you started.

The assistant takes over

Hand off a call you are holding on your Mac with one click. You keep listening, you can speak in, and you take the call back whenever you want.

The latest calls

The five most recent conversations with time, number and a one-line summary. New ones are marked, urgent ones stand out.

What gets installed — and when

  • Downloading and first launch change nothing on your system: no drivers, no background services, no password prompt.
  • Only when you click Treiber installieren (install drivers) in the setup window does rylivo add two virtual audio devices — once, with an administrator password. Treiber entfernen reverses it completely.
  • Without those drivers, status, numbers and the call list all still work; only handing over a call needs them.
  • When a handover ends — by you, by a dropped connection, by quitting or after a crash — rylivo restores your previous audio devices.
  • The drivers are builds of BlackHole (GPL-3.0). The licence text and the source offer ship inside the app: right-click, Show Package Contents, Contents/Resources.
  • What the assistant processes during a call is set out in the privacy policy and the AI transparency notice (both German).
